ARTIST STATEMENT
Kathryn Trumbull Fimreite is a Chicago based visual and teaching artist whose work is driven by her own personal response mechanisms. Her work addresses the duality of everyday language and individuality by incorporating stories, objects, memories and elements of her own identity and from her surrounding landscape. She creates in two dimensions, working in watercolor, ink, and hand written text, and explores time and space with projected images and small sculptural objects.
